Searching for parents and birthplace of Arthur Wright, Sr, born 1755+or-, died after 1781 in
Wilkes Co, GA. Arthur was married to Marrenck (Mai). We have seen wife's name spelled both
ways. Arthur was in Wilkes Co, GA abt 1784 and lived on Fishing Creek. It is probable that
Arthur was a member of Friendship Baptist Church located in Wilkes Co. From what I
understand the church is still there. His children later attended a Friendship Baptist Church in
Perry Co, AL and also a Friendship Baptist Church in Union Parish, LA.
I have a lot of information on John Wright Sr, and Elizabeth (Wright) Heard but have been unable to locate any further information on Arthur. I would like to find out who his wife was, where they married and where they were born. Also believe it is probable that there were other children, and that Arthur was in Granville Co, NC before moving to GA, but have been unable to locate any records on him prior to his moved to GA. Would also like any information on Arthur Sr's children, Stephen Wright and Arthur Wright.
