    April 21, 1898 - Keokuk County Newspaper-What Cheer, IA
The G. E. Shipman home was again on last Thursday entered and death took from them their little daughter, Lulu H, age 2 years, 2 months and 14 days.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment at Sixteen Cemetery near Thornburg.

This is the third child taken from them in about one month and no home in our city is sadder than this one is. These good people have the heartfelt sympathy of this entire community in their sad breavement for the loss of their little ones. They have gone to that better world on high, and are at rest and sooner or later they will join their loved ones over there where sin and sorrow can never reach them.

Guess I had better go down the road 25 miles to Sigourney, Keokuk County, Courthouse and see if I can find some more records.
